HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met Wednesday with HE Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia, Peter de Clercq, who is currently visiting Doha.

The State of Qatar has participated in the high-level international conference on Somalia, hosted by the British capital London. Qatar's delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Director of the International Technical Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tariq Ali Al Ansari.

HE Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, met with HE Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Ali Mohamad Ali.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with HE Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Khaire, on the sidelines of the Davos Economic Forum.

HE the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Hammadi held a farewell ceremony today in honour of HE Outgoing Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia Omar Sheikh Ali Idris, HE Outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa Shirish Maneklal Soni, and outgoing Secretary-General of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), HE Dr. Mohamed Hossein Adeli, at the Sheraton Doha Hotel on the occasion of the end of their term in the country.

His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met yesterday with Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the OIC summit held in Istanbul. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between both countries and the means to boost and develop them.

The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a police training camp in the Somali capital Mogadishu, killing and wounding a number of people.
