The bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Somalia have witnessed outstanding achievements that have directly contributed to the consolidation of the course of cooperation in the concern of the two countries. The brotherly relations between the two countries have strengthened under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al- The Amir of the country, “may Allah protect him”, where this relationship is an example of the strong ties in the common sense of the two countries and their history, the relations between the two countries were highlighted by the visit of His Excellency the former Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah on 22/5/2015, to the Somali capital of Mogadishu, where the visit gave great momentum to the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The political relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Somalia have witnessed a remarkable development that reflects the mutual coordination between the two sides in the regional and international forums on issues of common concerns to the benefit of the two sides, supported by high official exchange visits between officials of both countries.
