Prime Minister and Minister of Interior met with Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a verbal message from HE President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, pertaining to the bilateral relations and aspects of developing them.

The Somali government today received a donation from the State of Qatar. It consists of equipment and machinery donated by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in addition to six boats provided by the Ministry of Interior.

The Somali government commended the assistance provided by the State of Qatar to those affected by floods that hit large parts of the country, following the generous directives of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to launch an airlift for flood relief in the Federal Republic of Somalia.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met Monday with HE Special Envoy of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) for Somalia, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden Dr Mohamed Ali Guyo, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Somalia which held in Doha.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, met today with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia Ahmed Isse Awad, on the sidelines of the OIC ministerial meeting currently being held in Doha.

The Ministerial Meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Somalia was held in Doha today with the aim of mobilizing more international support to establish security, development and stability for the Somali people.
