Doha: On the instructions of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), in cooperation with the Standing Committee for Rescue and Relief Works and Humanitarian Aids, dispatched an Amiri Air Force plane on Monday morning to Somalia, carrying medical aid from Qatar to those injured by the terrorist bombing that took place recently in the Somali capital Mogadishu, killing dozens of people and wounding many others. The plane also transported a number of the wounded to complete the necessary treatment in Qatar.

It is worth noting that the Qatari assistance to the Somali brothers includes four tons of medical materials and first aid. An integrated medical and relief team with 25 members of various medical and relief specialties from the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group at Lekhwiya Force and Hamad Medical Corporation is accompanying the trip. The well-equipped Qatari medical team participates in the treatment of injured people.
